I know there are a couple of Aussies on here so I thought it would be a good place to ask where you get your foamcore. Do you just get it from art stores? It seems a bit expensive there but I can't tell if that's normal or an inflated Canberra price. In general it costs about >$12 for an A3 sheet of 5mm.

Basically I just wanted to know whether that's a competitive price and whether there are any other places people source it from.

It's about right. Of course if there is an Artist area in the city area it would be there that you might find better pricing.

If you are in Sydney (inner city) hit Newtown as there are three different art stores in the 1km zone = better pricing.

Does it end up being cheaper to buy online in bulk and have it shipped?

So no .... omg no..... nothing that is bulky is nice shipped from anywhere past NZ.

Of course this doesn't cover minis and the likes - Maelstrom Games in the UK = free shipping over ten quid. So sexy as I am shipping crapolia in cheaper than the retail shops can get at wholesale.

Makes you wonder why someone hasn't jumped on this. It seems that there's money to be made shipping craft products. I guess it'd need a large outlay though.

Maybe WWG could get a deal going with a few suppliers on the net. I saw one vender make contact through the forums last week for Black Friday.
