I built the Poice station for zombie love. Everything fit great. I edged the roof pieces and go to work on the great props. The motivation posters are fantastic btw.

Anyway, pulled out the building to attach the props and the second floor had warped considerably such that the roofing edges no longer over lapped. This was remarkable since I had about 1/8 of an inch on all sides before.

Is there anyway to fix the warp, or should I painfullyremove the foamcore and replace with high density fiberboard like I use for basing?

I posted about foamboard in another thread, but I thought I would repost here.

I am a picture framer and have been using foamboard for many years. I have been using a pre impregnated board with a heat activated glue on it. You can purchase it through a frame shop if you find one that will work with you.

The product is made by many different companies, but I have been using a product called Kooltac. It is a low temperature bond product that you could probably use an iron to adhere your printed items. There is no wet glue in the process so you would remove the moisture issue whicoh will lead to a longer lifespan for your models.

In the U.S. This product comes in varying sizes' I purchase it in 32"x40" and 40"x60" in size and it comes in 1/8" and 3/16" thickness not sure the mm size though.

You could probably purchase it for $5-8 per sheet 32"x40" but it would probably save you time and aggrivation with a glue.

I just got into the hobby, so I will let you know how it works as I make some builds in the near future... Still waiting for my printer, cis system and printing materials to arrive from amazon.

Oh, as to fixing warped foamboard, again if you can find a frame shop that will work with you, they may ave a heat vacuum press that they can use to try and flatten you foamboard.

It works sometimes if there isn't a huge warp issue, worth a try. I wouldnt pay more than $5 for them to try the process, if your lucky they may do it for free, if you find the right framer.

Also ask them about scrap material. We framers go through a ton of scrap each day and typically throw it away...

You can fix it far easier, just bend it the other way.

yeah it might put a bit of a crease in it, but if it is a crease/bend under paper it doesn't show up and if it is on the other side it also isn't seen. simple easy and I haven't had any problems with stability or strenght doing it, and I do it all the time as it can get humid inthese parts.
