Hello everyone,this is my first post! I just got my first WorldWorks product, Shellendrak Manor and I am very unhappy with the scale of the thing so far. My first project is a bookshelf that looks like it is to scale with 40mm to 50mm scale minis. I am basically computer illiterate so my question is if there is a way to reduce the size of these things when they print out.

Hey irondawn. First things first, when you go to print your stuff, make sure you have the scaling option set to "none" and the "auto rotate and center" box checked.

If that's not the problem, your printer may have scaling options in it's native print menu. You'd have to research that for yourself by reading the manual though.

If that's not an option, you could always use graphic software to reduce the size manually, although being computer illiterate as you say this option may not be for you.

Lastly, if none of that works all I can think of is to take your printed page to a copy center and have them photocopy it at a reduction that suits your tastes.

I had a nice reply to advise you but it disappeared into the electronic ether and Matt's reply showed up instead.

The upshot was to advise you that the great WWG stuff is scaled for 28-30mm figures, also usable for 25mm. 'Scale' is based on (usually) the heighth of the eyes for a standard roughly 6' human. So if you are looking at the 40-50mm size, you are going to be *increasing* the size of the images by between 33 and 66%. You will have to experiment to see what size is going to work best for you.

Also, because you are increasing the size, some images may not fit on a single page and may have to be broken up into 2 or more pieces, then glued together after printing. Be advised that with a 8 1/2 x 11 page there is a half inch border where the printer cannot print, so you will have to allow for that.

I second Matt's suggestion of using a print shop. Otherwise you are definitely looking at having to gain a new skill set. Good luck.

EDIT: My Bad! Irondawn: my abject apologies for evidently Totally misreading what you were asking for! I thought you were trying to make a bookcase shelf display casement for displaying 40-50mm figures using WWG stuff as diorama background. I hereby pre-second Zenguy's following advise. Sorry.

Regarding bookshelves, all the WWG bookshelves I can think of are all full height (i.e. as tall or a little taller than the average 28mm human mini). Not sure if there are any that are half height. If you were expecting or wanting a smaller shelf, then you'll need to scale down the printing or cut it down to the height you want when you put it together.
