Note to self (and others that might be interested):

Do not let glue dry on the back of an area that has been scored. The glue adds a thick layer that totally defeats the scoring and can result in severe paper separation or only a partial fold around a useless flat area.

It is quite possible to carefully scape excess glue away from the scored area with the back of a hobby knife if necessary.

I was totally befuddled by a fold very close to another construction that caused a bad fold and failure of the previous construction. A small bit of excess glue resulted in a layer on the back of the score and caused the whole thing to turn in to a mess.

Again a lesson relearned...sometimes less glue IS better ! And trail fitting should be done gently.

exact thing happened to me last night, I scored the glue.... lol

Just for reference here, I use LIGHT pressure with the blade side of my knife for the cut score. I don't see a fuzzy problem.

Be aware I am only on my 3rd paper model here, no expertise at all, just looking to learn. (The FL will be waiting til at least 6th)

Wife is helping by doing the coloring on my training models, free black and white things. We did learn to color before trimming or scoring, heh. My entire previous experience was with punch and fold GW terrain, hardly an exercise to improve skills.
