I do a lot on playing pieces and WW paper models. Is anyone using an airbrush to apply a clear coat to their pieces? I have used Krylon UV ClearCoat with great succsess but, the price is killing. I go through 2 or 3 a project at $5.99 a can I'm looking at $18 per project + other supplies. (other pieces are custom cards & markers and such like HQ)

Is anyone using a airbrush to apply clear coats or glue or any thing? I know very little about airbrushing and plan to read up on it but, this group is always so helpful and very knowledgeable on "gaming" topics.

I havent tried clear coating with an airbrush because as you said, airbrush paint is frelling expencive.  what I have had some sucess with is useing spraypaint on the back of me card, i first did this because the white tends to glare, so i hit it with some armery black primer.  i niticed that the card was mutch stiffer when the paint dried.  then I experemented with clear mat sealer, and that had a similar effect.  I also think you could get alot of strength by applying a coat of watered down lue to your paper, makeing it like paper mache. but if you do do this, use a thin coat or you will make your ink run.
