Hi guys,

I'm new to cardstock modeling, and I haven't found the best way to cut my foam board yet. Its difficult to cut through it all the way with my hobby knife. I REALLY have to press hard to get through it, and then it is too hard to cut, or the edges become really frayed.

Anyone know of a good tool to use?

I'll second what the other guys said. Cutting foamcore is ALL about a new blade. I use my standard hobby knife (big metal sucker) for cardstock cutting, and have a separate (smaller) exacto knife that I use only for cutting foamcore. That keeps it's blade fresher for longer.

Also, don't try to cut the foamcore all at once. I usually do 2 cuts. One to break the surface and cut through some of the foam, and the second to cut through the rest of the foam and cut the bottom surface. Sometimes I need a 3rd cut - but that usually means its time to change the blade.
