Does anyone know the percentage of reduction neccesary to print 1:48 models at 1:60 ?

Is there a chart out there someone knows of? I'd appreciate your help.

you will have to interpolate 1:60

To reduce a 1:48 to a 1:60 divide 48 by 60 (48/60) and you get .8 . So print the 1:48 at 80% of the original to get 1:60.

To increase 1:60 to 1:48 divide 60 by 48 (60/48) and you get 1.25 . So print the 1:60 original at 125% to get 1:48 .

This works for any scale conversion.
For example to reduce a 1:72 to 1:300 divide 72 by 300 and you get .24 . So print the 1:72 at 24% to get the 1:300.

To go from 1:300 to 1:72 divide 300 by 72 and you get 4.17 (rounded to two decimal places). So print the 1:300 at 417% to get the 1:72 (have lots of paper and ink handy, too).

Here is a chart to help convert between scale types, meaning to find out what ratio are 25mm models look down the left side of the chart to 25mm and you find they are equal to 1/64 (1:64) on the right side.


Using that chart to convert 25mm(1/64) to HO(1/87) you divide 64 by 87(64/87) and you get .74 which means print the 25mm at 74% to get HO.
