I found a bargain on markers at the beginning of the school year. An 8 pack of crayola marker for $.50. I got several packs because it included Gray and Brown which I use all the time. The gray is especially useful, I haven't found any greens to match the trees in hinterland so I use it on almost everything.

I also like the black expo dry erase markers for edging. But be sure to get the low odor ones, the others will give you a headache in seconds.

Arg, I'm really sick of bleeding Sharpies! I too found some cheap ones at a flea market; bleed like a stuck pig! I mean 1/8 to 1/4 inch up along an edge; just terrible. On top of that the 'black' came out brown and the 'brown' came out grey. I've also used several old and brand new, true, Sharpies and still massive bleeding. It's not as bad if you use the edge of the marker tip instead of the tip but still bleeds. One sharpie I do like and still use is my double ended; ultra fine tip on one end and regular fine tip on the other.

Out of disgust I tossed down a Sharpie and grabbed one of my kids washable crayola markers that happend to be near by. No bleeding! Man was I happy about that. These weren't new so I really can't say if this is due to them being half dried out or if it's really the type of marker.

May try the Expo dry erase next. Visa-vis wet erease are terrible. They really aren't designed for paper. After just a couple of passes they practically stop putting ink down.

Did they edge better after some settling occurred and being stored on their sides?

They seem to. Have not seen excessive bleeding, but enough to get the hard to reach corners on my standups.

That is good news. It is amazing how build WWG products changes the way that I look at certain mundane items (like markers and glue).
