I'm working on a complex tower from Castleworks. I want doors on opposite sides on the small section with arrow slots in between on one side. I'm thinking about printing some of the tower sections on regular paper, cutting out the sides with the features I want and then wallpapering those images over my cardstock tower.

I'm just wondering if other people have done this and what sort of results they got.

Adding extra features looks pretty good. I added may extra doors and blank wall section to my towers when I did my . Of course I applied them with removable tape so I take them off if my next layout. The removable tape doesn't always hold them down completely, so they'll look even better glued.

There are pages with extra doors and windows including arrow slits in the prop folder I think. You don't need to print a fully textured wall.

Go through the tower levels, I believe 1 level has 1 door on the narrow section. And another has doors on either side of it. Using the one with both doors you'd only need to add the arrow slit.

Of course cutting out the entire wall section makes it easier to align things when you're gluing it to the tower.

Pasting entire sections didn't work out very well. The shading didn't match and the walls looked funky.
