I've used bobby pins (in fact, suggested the same thing at Mel's place a few days ago). I got a set of black bobby pins from Target, and they work great, especially Gothic Realms and Castles & Keeps. Bobby pins also come in variable colors. IIRC, Target also had tan bobby pins that would work well with Cave Works.

They are thin enough that they also work well connecting, say, Arena Works buildings. The big AW model I did that Denny has on his front page (at least for now) was done with a number of the buildings linked by bobby pins underneath the models.

Ayuh, the bobby pin suggestion has come up several times. I think I amy have been the first to make it... Let me check the archives...Yep, November of 2003. I found some grey ones in Portsmouth New Hampshire for a friend of mine, they would work well with Gothic Realms methinks.

A friend of mine used toothpicks in the foamcore bases, over time it chews up the base something wicked. Then again he was using Dungeon Works set up on foamcore to be free standin, there were no clip its in those early days. As far as I know my friend still uses the old Dungeon Works he purchased way back when. (I talked him into it, before ever I made my own first purchase.)
