I found a reference to this item on Colonel Shofer's blog (http://colshofer.blogspot.co.uk) in the miniatures section and thought it deserved to be re-posted here. Great blog, by the way, Colonel.

Apparently, some Japanese company has made a set of 3 applicators for applying super glue. They're made out of some material that super glue doesn't stick to very well, so you can just wipe off any excess onto a paper towel when you're done. And if any glue dries on them, it apparently doesn't stick very well and just flakes off with your fingernail.

This looks pretty darn handy if you use super glue. The biggest pain is usually finding a good, reliable (and reusable!) way to apply it without making a mess. It's even available for around $14-15 in the US from a couple of hobby stores:

If you look for this on Amazon, you'll only see it available for more than $45. (some sneaky folks have it listed for only $25, but then have $20 shipping tacked on)

Looks neat, but I use some plastic toothpicks that are kind of hockey stick shaped when I need to spread some CA glue. The blade end is flattened a little. I also have CA glue that comes with a brush applicator which is very handy when I need to stiffen some paper parts. I also have some gel CA glue. When I need some control in using it I put a little bit on a small aluminum foil square then use the plastic toothpick to apply the glue.

Doesn't the brush applicator end up drying stiff after you've used it?

Nope. The brush applicator is an intregal part of the screw on lid. It is stored in the glue when not in use. As long as you keep the lid securely closed when not in use or in between application it stays flexable. Do a search for brush on super glue to see what the different types look like. One kind is Instant Krazy Glue. There is a kind that is clear all of the time and a kind the goes on purple then dries clear. Those are the types I use.
