I know not everyone has these stores near you, but for those who do this is a 'heads up' to save a bit (or two) of money:

My local Dollar General store currently has:
- Elmer school glue (white) 4-ounce for only 50-cents [half off]
- Elmers Washable School Glue Disappearing Purple glue stick 3-pak 75-cents [half off]

This coming weekend March 7th-9th Dick Blick is holding their in-store Preferred Cardholder double discount sale - 20% off instead of the usual 10%.

I hope some of you will be able to take advantage of these.

Can we even use the washable glue? I never use it for fear it will turn out the same as my stuff I used rubber cement to fix.

Well, mrken, I don't know - but I figure it 'ought' to stay put if you don't add water and soap... and who of us are going to subject our builds to that? If anyone has used it before, then I'm sure a review is in order...

When I first found WWG, I used rubber cement. Thought that was fine. Not so, every piece I ever built using the rubber cement has failed and fallen apart. On a side note, pretty much every piece I used photo spray adhesive has mostly failed. I now use the the regular Elmer's Glue sticks, as well as the liquid glue they make.

I've used the washable purple disappearing glue. I don't use them for anchors anymore, it's not strong enough. But for wall folds and props it works fine.

I use liquid elmers for the anchors and anything that is hard to apply pressure to, like the anti warp folds on the top of walls. It seems to simply dry quicker and stronger without as much pressure applied.

While I will probably continue to use the liquid elmers, I think I can get UHU sticks pretty cheap off amazon.
