Ya, I've gone through quite a few blades, but I probably didn't change it quick enough when I was doing those cuts. I'm using an exacto hobby knife, and have purchased a blade set that gives you like 15 #2's in a nice dispenser that has a blade disposal compartment.

For the record I only cut out one piece last night (the sterncastle rear wall & windows).

My index finger is still sore today.

I'm surprised how quickly the edge goes off the tip of my blade. I'm using a small craft knife with blades that break off in sections and it seems to go through at least one blade section for even a small contruction. I'm still getting the knack of lining up cuts properly before applying the tip of the blade - moving it sideways (even slightly) to line up the cut is a sure way to lose the tip.
