There is a head cleaning cartridge available for that printer - it replaces the ink cartridge.

Most of the places that I could find with a quick google were for the UK. is the one I found for the U.S.

I hope that it works out for you. I just feel silly for not noticing that you were writing from the U.K. - there were literally dozens of sites for the kits in the U.K. the one for the U.S. was all the way back on page three.
