My wife had one of these in her crafts box - I stole it.



This cut my cutting time down considerably for the long straight cuts. And, it has a small 12" long groove in a notch of the ruler that allows me to run my ink-less pen along to groove the cardstock for a very crisp fold.

I've tried one (my wife has the exact same model, I think) but I had a beast of a time getting the cuts lined up with the same precision as a knife + ruler. How has that been for you?

It was a little tricky at first but then I learned the trick...

The little orange cutter handle has grooves to show where the cut will be. I line up both ends of the cardstock with this groove - resting the orange cutter thingy lightly on the cardstock - and then I make my cut.

It is really only good for long straight cuts or a series of straight cuts that are even with each other.

Otherwise I use my blades.

I have something similar and use it for all of my long cuts. The short cuts I use scissors!

I rarely resort to using a hobby knife and steel ruler
