I've never tried transparencies on a color copier before, but they shoud work well. I have done lots of regular transparencies on the copier for years before they did the ink jet variety and never had any trouble with stuff rubbing off or anything, unless you really abused the sheet. Good part is you wouldnt have to worry if it gets wet. All transparencies seem to cost a bit, but those for copiers and laser printers are a little bit cheaper. The cost for the ink jet variety seems to be the finish on one side that holds the ink while it dries. If you ever put a regular transparency through an ink jet printer, you might have noticed that it took a long time to dry, and that any touch caused the ink to smear. That rough side holds the ink and helps it to dry faster.

I do it all the time. In fact it's the only way I can do it, since my printer doesn't seem to like transparencies, just head on down to Staples with a regular paper print out of my transparencies page and hand it over.
