Heh... now I a talking to myself

The thing of doing Mayhem tiles in 8" is that all the buildings are done in 7" sections... this means that there will be about a 1" alleyway between buildings (2" if two buildings are pushed together etc.) which is not an altogether bad thing. I think I am going to re-do my first board this way and see how it goes. And depending on where I put my buildings, I may make the under-tile a grass section so we can have little lawns around and between the buildings. Won't that be a happy urban environment?

Sounds like an interesting idea. Iv'e thought about this myself but haven't gotten there yet. Im eager to see what you do.

I would strongly recommend against going to 8" for anything other than your own personal use.

8" tiles will not print out on many types of printer...7.5" is just about the outward limit in what will reliably print.

It is also possible that 8" tile kitbashes will be rejected, as the 7" tile is the established standard. I can't speak for Aubrey in this (though I expect he'll check this thread soon), but it's at least a real possability (for both of the reasons listed above).

So...for yourself, go for it...for kitbashes, not such a good idea.

Ok, so I got my first board section (4'x2') done this way, and I set up my existing building collection. The good news is that having 7"-built buildings on 8" tiles is that there is a 2' walkway between the buildings... now there are ways around the table besides actually going through the buildings. All the little alleyways are going to make for some awesome games...
