I just spent a good 4 hours building the First Light R36 Shuttle.

It did not take less than an hour... I think the estimate is out to lunch. There are a lot of fiddly bits, and I think that cutting it out in an hour would be an accomplishment.

Yes, I'm whinning. And yes, I like the R36.

Two suggestions, increase the suggested build time, and place the cockpit transparency on the regular transparency sheet (there is room).

I think that the build times are way too varied to bother with providing estimates. I suppose you could try and do a survey for user's build times but really that seems like way too much trouble.

Personally I've never paid attention to the build time estimates. And I've certainly never timed myself. Aside from things like my CWU layout took me 6 weeks.

I suppose that potential customers might be interested in that information but I don't think its lack will effect their purchasing decision. There are ample free samples for potential customers to try. These give them all the information they would need to gauge construction time and material costs.

If anything I think that time estimates are a potential risk. People who attempt to speed up to meet estimates are more likely to injure themselves.

I know that every time I have injured myself I was attempting to hurry.
