After being impressed with the Dungeon Entrance sample, I bought the Pubs & Inns set. Very nice. I found, however, that I wasn't entirely happy with either the round or square tables made out of card stock.

So, a quick trip to the local train shop, I found that there are other ways of doing things.

Materials:
   0.060 styrene sheets, white. (2 per package. I've only
   used part of one so far.
   HO Scale 6x10 (.066 x .112", package of 10, used less than
   one so far)
   Full sheet Avery labels
   Crazy glue
   Hobby knives (of the same sort recommended in the tutorial
   Black magic marker (fine tip)
   Emory boards (available in the cosmetics section of any
   drug or grocery store)

Step 1: Print the tables on plain paper, and carefully cut out the top (of the table) as a template.

Step 2: For the round table, I put the paper top on the styreme, and used the black magic marker to trace it. Then, I rought cut the styrene with scissors, and cleaned it up with an emory board.

Step 3: On the round table, I used the paper leg pieces as a template (with the magic marker again) to fashion the two leg pieces. It was a little tricky sanding out the grooves so they'd lock together, but the emory boards worked.

Step 4: I printed the whole tables & chairs file on the color laser printer at work, on the full sheet Avery lables, and cut out the legs to apply (like decals) before assembly. (There's no possible way I could have put them on after gluing the leg pieces together).

Step 5: Glue the leg pieces together using the crazy glue, carefully making sure they were at 90 degrees.

Step 6: Glue the legs to the table top, and discover the whole assembly was quite fragile, because there is so little surface area making contact between the two pieces. Hm. Some reinforcement is needed. So, I took four very short pieces of the scale 6x10 strips, and glues them in to reinforce the whole assembly:



All assembly was done with crazy glue.

Step 7: Apply the color table top like a decal, and use the black magic marker (brown would have worked well, too) to darken the edge of the top and legs.



All in all, it turned out very nice. I believe I'll apply a coat of clear spray finish of some sort before use, but at this point, it's nice and solid, and should last for a long, long time.

The rectangular table, I just measured out on the styrene sheet, and cut with a straight edge. Then, to provide support for the legs, I built a "frame" round the bottom, and glued the legs to both the top and corner of the frame with liberal amounts of crazy glue:



Other than that, the process was much the same.



I have to say, I'm very happy with the purchase. I think I'll do some (styrene) wine casks next.
