While at Barnes & Noble I came across some bookmarkers that are miniature persian style rugs. "Holy *beep* that would be perfect for using witih my miniatures." I haven't bought any yet, but I do want to share the discovery with you. There is also a site you can go to if you want to order them online, www.alibaba.com just type in "bookmarker rug" and about 20 will pop up. I don't know if it's the same kind B&N carries though. Those are really nice for large size areas. For smaller rugs, 2"x3" range, I have used downloaded pics of real rugs, even pics of doll house rugs.

Yeah, the downloaded pictures can be more useful as the bookmarks are a bit thick for our scale. They're on the edge of acceptable for 1:12 scale tho.

Didya know you can print directly onto fabric with an inkjet printer and a little prep work? Or if you get the transfer paper you can iron the design onto the fabric.

If you're going to use paper I would actually use a glue-water solution to 'form' the rug better so it's not just sitting there on top of the floor. Real rugs tend to conform.

But yeah. Those are some cool bookmarks.
