I've just started in on the Maiden after some very enjoyable building of the mini-chunk set (should be great fun for my D&D game), and have run into a snag printing the water tiles. Specifically, tiles 5, 9, and 10 print out a very light aqua compared to the rest of the tiles.

* I know it's not running out of ink, because I printed other tiles before and after with no such color shift
* It's consistent from one print to another for that particular tile (I did my tests on tile 5)
* I can get the hue to vary substantially by using different color matching, but I lose the nice "shiny" appearance of the tiles when I switch to a different color match

I'm printing with an HP Photosmart 2575xi, best quality, automatic paper, using HP's normal Colorsmart/sRGB color matching. All of the tiles except 5, 9, and 10 come out brilliantly, it's just those three that have a problem. I've tried various settings tweaks, thus far with no success. Does anyone have any experience with this printer and advice to offer? Are there any known issues with these three tiles in general?

If you've tried tweaking the color the only other thing I can think of is to try different paper. When I use matte photopaper I get a much different color tone than when I use cardstock. If you don't have any on hand try looking at the dollar store, its cheaper paper thats prone to scratching. But it will show if it would fix the problem without buying good paper just to test.

If nothing else works, you may need to go up to Kinkos or somewhere and have those 3 printed.

While nearly all WW stuff will print right on any printer, but its seems common for an individual printer to have some odd glitch with a few random pages or a particular set. When I was using my HP printer it used to crash every time I tried to print glue templates, I still haven't a clue why.
