Thanks guys! About the glue, how am I to say it on the bookstore counter?
In laymans terms. They don't seem to understand me when I say
"do you have a glue with low water content?" they just don't get it!

Is elmer glue a good option?

Thinly spread, yes it will do the job.

I wouldn't recommend Elmers white glue for beginners. As with all higher water content glues, the less you use the better and people new to the hobby tend to use too much.

As previously noted the "Definitive Glue Thread" is the place to go for suggestions. The later pages have some good current info.

When talking to anyone at a craft or office supply store be sure to note "glue for paper crafting", "glue for scrapbooking", "glue that doesn't warp paper" and last but not least "low water content paper glue".

Adhesive paper is ideal for ground tiles as it does not warp, and is easy to apply (worth the small investment).

There are many good hobby glues out there but be careful of which ones read "use in well ventilated area". The problem with some of the better ones is that they have toxic fumes so pay attention to the labels or make sure you've got good ventilation in your hobby area. This is why we LOVED the now retired UHU Office Pen (no.99589). It was non-toxic, dried fast and did not warp paper. You CAN still find it out there but you have to hunt around (try searching online at Staples and other office supply stores). If you find any online, do yourself a favor and buy a box full of it. Also keep your eyes out for a brand from the same company called "UHU Creativ (without the "e") Scrapbookers Pen", its the same formula as the Office Pen rebranded.
