I'll be printing off and working on my first Village Works build soon.... any tips and trics specific to this build? Is there anything I should print multiple pages of?

Personally, if you going to be using them for exteriors only, back the walls with something! They are designed as single layer thick so are not very stiff or rugged.

Yup, its an old set (like 2002 old) with some missteps there in terms of material thickness. Definitely double up your cardstock at very least (or mirror print to create interiors: http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... php?t=4018 ).

Yeah I was reading up on how to do the mirror image and make interiors but that's a little ambitious for me. Not as far as skill but time... =/ All I really need for our next adventure are a bunch of exterior buildings for the village and a complete build of Thoumont's.

Built a few of them last night and really like them! I'm just doing simple exterior buildings; good enough for our groups next adventure.

I noticed just the opposite with the roofs. The longer roof used on wood & plaster with the longer second story was too long by almost a half inch. I used some left over scrap and a brown marker to fill in the gap but that was dissapointing. The page was printed just like every other page; no scaling, no 'auto rotate and center', or anything like that.

Building is very easy; I just read the instructions once, walked through the first building with the instructions, and after that the rest seemed about the same. Probably helped that I've already built lots of little fiddly props. The broad cuts and easy folds of these buildings is a nice change =)
