I'm new here, and although i have read quite a bit on the boards this is my first post. primarily i want to use terrainlinx himmelveil streets and sewers for 3d dungeons and dragons 4e games. what im wondering and concerned about is how much ink does printing these sheets normally take? can you print an entire package with one ink cartridge? or does it take several?

also, is it worthwhile and cost effective to take something like this to a professional print shop and just have them print it on their card stock?

The most important thing to keep in mind is that this hobby almost universally demands high print counts. No one can tell you just how much printing you'll need to do as each modelset is either completely modular and or builds a different way. You may need a number of object duplications to fill out your specific layout.

I highly recommend color laser (given that prices have plummeted). Though if you're stuck with ink-jet, you should seriously consider continuous ink refill solutions http://www.macroenter.com/Continuous_In ... _s/504.htm OR generic refills. That will drive your per-page costs way, WAY down.
