Ok, we all know the problem:

The printer at home either can't handle cardboard or simply hasn't enough quality to do the WorldWorks set justice.

So I considered taking the pdfs to a print shop and get them printed there. Amzingly this isn't as expansive as I though because the price drops quite quickly once I reach a certain number of pages to be printed.

The only problem I have is that every store I have been too charges a "per file" cost somewhere between $2-$10.

So what I am looking for now is a free (or afforable) PDF editor that allows me to combine the pages I want into a single big PDF file, so I just have to pay the "per file" cost once.

It would be great if anybody could help me out here.

Adobe Photoshop can sepperate pdf files into individual images. Sometimes there are minor errors, but I can't see there being any with the WorldWorks pdf's. Once sepperated just re-make them into a pdf file. I haven't used the above program that Denny mentioned but there are others also. The one I prefer to use is called 5D PDF Creator. It works within programs such as WordPerfect and MS Word and is very easy to use.

I realize most folks are on a PC, but in Mac OSX, you can simply go to "Print" on your viewer (Preview, Acrobat Reader, etc.), select the page or page range you want, then "print" that as a PDF file (there's a button there just for that purpose). It will save the new PDF for you and you can just use that.

i gopt the pdf thingy denny linked and it took me a while to figure it out as there were no instructions with it but i finaly got it figured out and have made a couple PDF's of my own i recomend as the alternitive is to spend $100 or more on the full blown PDF  software
