Okay, I've started to build many kitbashed sets for Gothic Realms and I'm having a problem.

Storage.

First, Is there a good way to avoid the built kits from bending and consequently warping?

Second, if you have prebuilt sets, how are you storing them to prevent damage to them?

My next building project is CastleWorks Ultimate and I want to make sure that the warping I've had with my kitbashed sets does not happen with the CWU set. Is anyone using foamcore or cardboard inside the walls to provide stiffness and prevent damage?

Can CWU be built with a cardboard core or will it make it impossible to use stuff like the hot-swap crenellations?

Any advice would be useful.

I haven't had a lot of warping problems, but its not very humid where I'm at (Austin, TX), so that might be part of it. Most of the structures that I build I double cardstock (once its built) to add some stiffness to the model, and that helps as well.

For storage. I have a lot of built models now, so I spent some time looking for good storage solutions, and these are what I use now: and . (As a side note, I use their shoeboxes to store smaller props and such.)

They stack nicely (I have 6 of the little ones and 1 of the big ones), and hold a lot. Two are filled with Arena Works (big arena), one with CastleWorks Classic and the fort from SeaWorks, one with Village Works, one with Gothic Realms, one with CaveWorks and misc other stuff, and the big one holds any model that turns out to be too tall (the Chainmail tavern, the CastleWorks manor house and some other models).

For whatever reason, the price online is more than the price in our local store. I think I get them for 5.99 and 7.99 from the store.

Has anyone ever found boxes that can store a model based on a whole sheet of foamcore? I prefer to make more permanent models, and glue them to a foamcore sheet as base. (This is mostly because I game most often with my 14 year old son, and as with most teenage boys, he can be very rough on things!). For example, I have the inn that is the "home base" for the PC's in my campaign, some sewers they frequent, and I just finished an enitre arena complex. But I can't find any plastic containers anywhere that are large enough to hold the 22"x28" size of foamcore I use. anyone ever find anything?
(Perhaps with the new basing system in CWU, making the areas more modular will be easier. This may help with this dliemma, but despite having bought CWU, I haven't yet had time to start on my project - the castle of the Evil Count Von Taren; the vampire lord who rules the gloomy and dangerous realmof Wulfhaven...)

Your best bet for boxes of that size would propably be "Underbed Boxes" (like the smaller box robby mentioned in his post).
I have seen underbed boxes with lenghts of over 1 meter.

Hmm. I couldn't find anything that big at the Container Store or Target. I've seen them elsewhere, but usually they're big giant plastic tubs (not flat bottoms), and they're pretty expensive per (like $20 per unit).

You might try looking at moving boxes or picture frame boxes, though. They might do the trick for a reasonable price.
