Yeah that's pretty much my conclusion. I did a little crafty printing at work tonight to get me started, but it's not a longterm solution.
Trouble is from the list of accurate printers, the only one I can find still on sale is the pixma ip4700, which retails for £90 over here (erm, $135). Which seems a lot.
There are dozens of cheaper printers, but without know if they're accurate it seems a little daft laying out cash when I have a perfectly functional, albeit a little dimensionally challenged, printer sat on my desk.
