Assuming you've unzipped your purchase, look in the Ground Tiles folder and click on the "1 inch grounds.pdf", "1point5 grounds.pdf", or "gridless grounds.pdf" depending on your chosen style ("1 inch" in your case). The last page of each of these three files is the Basetile you're thinking about.

Yes, I'm in the same level of Hell as you I think. It's such a wonderful package, but the possibility for diversity has me a little overwhelmed. I may just copy the demo build for now and look at something more elaborate in the future.

Are there any specific kitbashes that I should think about using for this project?

I detailed my own Shellendrak build in a pictures thread ; it started out as a 'standard build' as per the instructions, but as you can see I soon expanded first the ground floor and then the second floor. It's actually not that hard to do. Sadly that game died before I needed to finish the roof but it's in the garage just biding it's time before I get out there to finish the job...

Fantastic work Bob! I like your modular approach to building. It answers the question that keeps bobbing about regarding storage. I'd hate to put a lot of effort into this only to have it squished.

I'm seriously considering clear windows, but I think it's going to be a lot more work if the mansion extends beyond the simplest of builds.

Thanks! The only problem with clear windows is if you want to keep it modular like mine, it's easy to just 'add an extra wall' that overlays the one with the windows if you now have a windowed wall up against an interior wall without messing up the outside look of the place (for example, if a previously interior wall is now part of the outside, do you really want to carve a new hole for the window or just overlay a window/wall section?).

Of course waaaaaay down the line when this gets TLX'd it'll be simple to move walls around but in the meantime this is what we have to work with. It's worth it though, Shellendrak is an awesome looking build in any form!
