For those of you who don't have access to a color printer and don't want to pay a $1 a page at Kinko's, try this instead.  Print the models out on a black and white laser printer (usually 5 cents a page) then color the models with magic markers.  Go here to see an example:



I tried this recently, and I was amazed how well this technique works.  Plus, it makes it easy to individualize models.

Cool !  Nice idea!  I really like how well the stone contrasts against the colored portions of the building.  Not sure how it will look on other printouts but it defineatly looks worth a try. (Nice to see some new pics up too!  I'm sure dkd appreciates it.)  Nice figurines!  Where'd you get your pics for those?

The homemade figures were discussed in this thread: . They are a cool idea. I'm currently on a flat counter kick (they are extremely easy to transport, look good, and laminated they are particularly nice), but I might try my hand at some of the stand-ups as well.

Some cool ideas here - Worldworks have done an excellent job in keeping the costs (both time and monetary) of creating 3d maps down. Any way of reducing the costs further is fine by me!
