With the advent of and the fact that the main area of contention is a make believe "-istan", I am hoping that some modern Middle Eastern scenery is on its way. There is another company that has some older Arabic Fort stuff, but it does not have the modern Arabia feel to it.

What I would like to see in order of appearance is the following:

1) Masque, with and without battle damage.

2) Market with lots of cloth overheads and carts with actual mules.

That would be a cool set to see. I have looked over the other companies product that you mentioned and didn't buy it because 1) it is as you say, and older style, and 2) I have been spoiled by the superb quality of WWG products and find it hard to be satisfied with others products now.

If the middle-east style set provided modern enough options, I might even be able to use it for Cursed Earth buildings for Gangs of Mega-City One. Granted, that would involve some new rules... but it's all good fun

Heh, while those minis do seem to suck, it doesn't stop the desire to have a WWG quality set of modern middle eastern buildings. I'm still interested in the terrain, just not in that game.

Yeah, I am VERY interested in a set of this nature, something to emulate the famed Dust/Dust 2... (always the Counter-Strike addict)

Also, even moreso than European buildings they are fairly timeless, so can double as fantasy or even futureish models.

Also - Middle-eastern buildings - Great for Pulp adventures!

I would Buy an entore line of this type stuff.

What I find is needed is the city areas, villages are good, but getting a good city Middle East board together is rough.

So I'll Buy it if you mke it.

There is already a Middle-Eastern set on the market. Whether WWG still feels they want to release an alternative is up to Denny and crew. I'm sure a WWG set would rock, but whether they want to focus on unrealised areas first??

I downloaded the Village set a couple of weeks ago and am quite impressed.

Nothin' to see here... move along.

I love making foamcore and spackle adobe type mid East /N African buildings too much to use card, I think, but as someone said, the accessories!!! Card awnings, canopies, floor rugs, tapestries and such for market stalls, that sort of thing. Then again, its so easy to cut out pics of said I don't know how you would really make it stand out enough to be worthwile. I would by the lot of it, but how many others would that aren't hardcore WWG 'ers?

Hi, first post! Just discovered WW - yes I must live in a cave, no I am not OBL (everyone knows he died around 2006 anyway). Anyway, a set capable of building urban/rural areas in Middleofknowwhereistan would be brilliant. If someone can design it I will pay for it! Bought the MDF stuff, and as awesome as it is, making my own 'anything' is way better.

Anyone out there help?

I am planning on running a Force on Force / Ambush Alley scenario based in Fallujah and a modern middle eastern urban cityscape set would be just the ticket. Any word on this being developed? Or at least an arabic language overlay for the signs and vehicles?
