I would love to see:

telephone poles
street lights
fire hydrants
parking cones
vending machines
A fueling station complete with gas pumps.
chain link fence
a warehouse (with plenty o' crates)
A military motor pool (with jeeps and tanks)

Metal barrels with radiation symbols on them (everyone knows barrels blow up when you shoot em )

Finally an "Area 51" style airbase complete with wrecked flying saucer.

So what is up with the Modern Stuff, we have seen some stuff on the Sci Fi but no modern...

A modern cityscape scaled for HeroClix figures would sell like hotcakes, I bet.

I know there are quite a few folks out there (myself included) that like to customize extra HeroClix figs for use in roleplaying games, since there aren't too many other mini lines that feature superheroes.

It would be fantastic to have banks, fire and police stations, parks, construction sites, a city hall, and so on . . . can't wait to see what you come up with, Denny!

Oh we so need a Modern Set.

Super Heroes, Resident Evil, Counter Strike, Urban Warefare.

I would like a basic city to be the core.

- Some well textured Modern Office Buildings(Modular stacking building structures for the skyscrapers. Using that nice Sandwich fold method from CWU). And the cool basing that would include a sidewalk.(Props could be a Roof exit/entrance. Rooftop Airconditioning Units & minor
conduit & piping stretchin from it into the buildings roof. Solar roof panels)

- A Firehouse
- A Police Station
- Townhouses (I am picturing Chicago'esq architcutre). Thick block and masonry style buildings. Extending cement steps down from the 2-3story Townhouses. (Addtions would be items to make each building unique, or even rundown)
- A Subway entrance (cement barrier w/steps receeding into it).
- A Raised subway track section(ala Chicago) might be neat. And the iron girders could used for multiple structures.
(ie. Maybe a building under construction with exposed beams & 1/2butils floors to provide good positioning for some urban fights or sniper spots)
- Highway overpass sections - 2 sections for this construction, plus supports. 1 Straight, 1 45degree piece.
- Small Generic Buildings that have interchangable facade fronts and awnings to
represent small stores in the neighborhood. (Deli, Pawn shop, etc) Recessed doors & storefronts. Maybe even a club or bar...
- And what city is complete without some sort of Gothic Church. Seems every city has one.

Details:
- Balconies, Fire escapes, Roof Exits, Awnings, Store Fronts. Low Walls(for park)

Land Tiles
- Roadway sections, Highway section(see above), Grass area, Road Construction

Props

- Street Lamps, Stop Lights
- Mailbox, Telephone Booth, Bus Stop, Benches, News Paper Boxes
- Street Venders(papers, food), Dumpsters
- Construction cones/signs. Highway signs
- Large Ad Sigs(for buidlings/stand alone)
- vehicles - Police cars, Construction Truck, Car, Van, Semi.

Expansions:

City Expansion - more unique buildings. A Museum, a Gas Station,
Central School(?), another type of Skyscraper, and Townhouse. An extra Vehicle texture or two.

The Warehouse District - featuring Large crate filled interiors with catwalks. A warf and loading dock. Loaading crane, maybe even a barge or two. Guard post & entrance. River sections(?) Maybe a Span Bridge?

Small expansions:

The War Zone Barricades, Destroyed Road sections, Building sections, (Facades that show broken windowed storefronts), Upturned cars.

China Town - Add that oriental flavor to your town. New Shops, architecture, props.

The Slums - Slum buildings(?), Basketball court, rundown steet and store
sections. (Could be part of the first expansion above)

And I won't even try to argue that a modern set shouldn't be scaled to 1.5 - way too many Hero-Clix players out there... And some of them know where I live.

Seriously some props suitable for superheroes an d villains to toss around the landscape at each other.

A dumpster with hinged lid big enough to lie a figure in.

A parking lot and cars.

Buildings constructed of panels in such a way that the panels can be removed and/replaced when something gets thrown through the wall.

Subway train, tunnels, and station.

Sewers, tere should always be sewers... (My favorite part of Gothic Realms...)

Now that you are usig transparencies a suspension bridge would be quite doable.

A garbage truck..

The Auld Grump, and a big round bodied robot with 4 arms/legs, labeled 11...

Pulp/Noir Works.

Dark and forboding buildings.

Nazi headquarters, suitable for heroes to run out of after setting the timer on the bomb...

The Auld Grump, this one can be 1", least until Golden Age Hero-Clix comes out or something...

Hmm, something in a Gotham City style might do both modern heroes and pulp era stuff. Rocketeer, Batman, Crimson Skies characters, etc. would do well with this, and a bit of modern looking accessories to bring it forward.

I know some previous have suggested chainlink fences. I'd like to suggest they be designed for transparencies.

For that matter, fire escapes would probably look good on transparency. Not sure how sturdy they'd be though.

I'm looking at using urban terrain for zombie (war)games, so maybe some sheets of broken or boarded up windows and doors to apply over the default prints.

Personally, I'm not concerned about interior detail. Too fiddly. Buildings end up discombobulated all over the table.

Vehicles would be neat. Some to print in greyscale and color yourself.

Your product looks very good. I eagerly await the release of the urban stuff. My ninjas await some of your "other" stuff...

For spy games, for Shadowrun games, I have just one word to say:

-Boardroom-

Some other ideas;
-Neon Signs you can tack onto a building, perhaps even providing text yourself
-A billboard frame (which would likely require cutting and pasting of images, but that's not so hard)
-Rotating Doors, just to be mean
-Stoops (sets of stair in front of a tenement)
-Fruit stands for car chases
-A bus
-A trolley
-Gargoyles you can tack onto a roof
-Security Gates, both indoor anti-theft style and outdoor compound defense style
-Monorail

By the way, I also vouch for a parking ramp, the gas station, and vending machines of all types (newspaper, soda)

I really like the idea of transparency chain link fence. That would look very cool.

I don't know if it's written in stone, but Denny's been pretty keen on the idea of including 1", 1.5", and gridless options in all future releases.

Not like it hasn't been said a bunch already, but I'd just like to reiterate:

Dumpsters! I especially like TheAuldGrump's suggestion of being large enough to fit a mini in! I was only thinking about hinged lids.

Cars! Not just functional ones, though. I want trashed, beat up cars on blocks, missing the tires, with the windows smashed in and graffitti all over 'em. Hey, how about a hinged trunk lid? I dunno if there's enough room for a Clix mini, but a 1" mini with a Reaper-style base might...


[edit] Almost forgot! Chalk outline bodies for transparencies!

I know there's a free dumpster out there (I built a couple) -- if I remember the link I'll post it.

I'm not sure you'll get many figs in a scale car's trunk, though. not with bases on.


Sorry to edit out your links, as I know you're just trying to be helpful, but the referenced site has "competing" products as well as the cars, vans and such.

I appreciate the attempt, Alexio, but you have to remember that Denny is trying to run a business. I wouldn't want someone to come here, and then settle for something inferior elsewhere, free or not.

Also, the edit may have come from the fact that the site you linked to sells cardstock related stuff, not necessarily the page you linked to.

It's just a guess, as I never saw the link anyway.

Don't get upset about it. Denny will have stuff out eventually (hush, johnnygs, I can hear your mouse aiming for the "reply" button already! ) that is way better than anything I've found elsewhere, which is why I'm here in the first place.

Besides, I'd want WW's hyper-realistic textures and innovative features, anyway.
