Good ideas, I've been searching the web for examples of different styles of platforms. I think the biggest challenge will be making it so it's easy to game on, because I see models on various levels at the same time, but able to have LOS and shooting chances... I'll probally design it with gaming in mind first and the 'V' word second....

If you made it primarily of cardstock, with all that scaffolding... that's an awful lot of negative space to cut out!

If you are interested in mixing and matching card stock and other things there are some Great scaffold stlye objects in the Platformer, these couldbe used as the supports or some of the linkages between levels, pretty sturdy (those at least the platforms not so much) and make the rest out of card stock.

Until such time as WW creates an off shore rig a combination of the water from the Sea Works sets, one or two of Ebbles Derelict sets, and the plastic Chemical Plant on TheWarStore might serve. Along with a long straw for the middle to serve as a pipe.
