OK I'm really surprised no one else has posted this, all the zombie hunters out there need one, so why has no one posted about wanting one?? i.ve wanted one for a few years now, i have tried a few times with not much success, i'm not too fussed if it's multi level or not, anyone have any specific ideas

edit: heroclix players would like one too

Just to add my voice of support to this again. Of course it would need to be possible to make it multi level, with escalators... but I seem to recall that being said before as well.

I don't think it'd need to be that big... I'm thinking it should be something that could work well as a 5x5 tile or larger. Variety in the shops, themed walls and matching free standing counters, so you can have a clothing store, a book store, a toy store, fast food restaurant with seating area, jewelry store, etc.

The the center piece would be an open area with escalators and some sort of fountain. Maybe even an elevator, thought that's not essential.

A second layer should stack nicely on top, providing opportunities to blast people down below or up above. Ideally, there should be enough different shops that you could have no more than two of each type, and then at a minimum you'd want to have different signs.

Of course, for an expansive build, you'd want to have the fire escape passages around behind the stores to relive the Terminator moments.

I don't think you'll see anything not on a 7x7 tile. That seems to be the standard, and I hope its continued.


That said, for a mall, 7x7 tiles would work well. I could see two different cases. For shops, you could create a standard 5x7 shopfront, along with a 2x7 walk way, so that your typical mall would have 4 inches of walkway space between the shops. You could make 2x2 kiosks for those walkways.

For upper levels you could do a 6x7 tile with 1" cut away to stack on top, so that there is a little bit of space looking down, but still decent shop sizes and walkways. And some areas might not look down, so you could use the standard 7x7 with the 2x7 walkway.


The second case is to just plan that the center walkway is 7x7, and you have 7x7 shops on either side. This would certainly provide more room for hands (and minis). Kiosks could be bigger, easily. For the upper levels, you'd have to create walkways, but something along the lines of PCON could be easily used for that.

I don't know how reasonable a mall really is. It would have to be build in two halfs so that you could actually move the mini's around. Other wise in a 2-3 story mall, there's no way you could built it and then be able to actually enjoy playing in it. Although it sounds really cool, the design and implementation would be a nightmare. But I know that if the WWG crew ever started something like this, that they would overcome those hurtles.

I think this is probably the only set that I have ever voiced a negative opinion on. I like the idea, but conceptually hard to implement.

O.K I will be starting on this tonight, as for it being its own set well that would be up to Denny and crew since I'm not a employee and just your lonely old kit-basher. But if I did this it probable won't be released, it could be used as a reference for other to build. This is one of the biggest projects that I've ever done on here. This isn't like kit-bashing this is making up a whole new set from scratch and my skills are not as good as Denny's, but all I can say is I'm going to give it my best shot. Also I might be asking some of you if you want to get your hands dirty in making some items for this monster of a set. Hell maybe we can get all the kit-basher in on this and create something worth wild

P.S. I'm also doing this while in a massive amount of pain so that is why I might be asking fellow Kit-Bashers to join in on this effort.

I would buy this indefinitely...I'm planning on buying all of the Mayhem and collaborating into a rather large Warhammer 40k set for my buds.
