Because of the shape of the hull modular ships would be a big pain to create. As is there is a fair amount of flexibility, using a larger or smaller number of segments allows you to adjust the length. I have considered creating a ship that depends from either a balloon or a derigible, just to hang from the ceiling...

However more ship designs would work nicely! (I would like to see a zebeck for an Arabian Knights setting for example.)

I've built The Maiden. Love It. It took me two weeks, but I love it! I've built Skull Cove, and it's ships are really great too. Tiny, but great.

I'd like to see EASY versions of Cogs, Longships, etc.. Something I can build a small Fleet with. Interior details either optional or non-existant. Gimme Ships!!

My RPG is based on the island of Freeport, Green Ronin's sea-faring campaign. We oughta have lots of ships, but all we've got is The Maiden.

Also, while I'm sitting on Santa's lap, how about doing ALL WWG products in 1.5" scale as well as 1". My gang uses 1.5" predominantly.

I'm two days into construction of the Maid, while she is a grand old ship, i have to say other varities would be very nice as well. Longships, Smaller ships. Like have conversion bits to make a Cog out of the Maid, use the base of the maid to do them, but use a some new deck areas or the like to make it more like a ship of that type, re peat for other tyoes, kind of like a Maid Retro fit....

I am contemplaing printing one in Black and White with a bit longer hull, for a "ghost ship" effect but haven't done it, i want to make a real one first, before i go playing with anything else.

I'd like to see another ship, Idealy a sloop.

I just found the WorldWorks site this week, and had to have The Maiden of the High Seas. Probably a bit ambitious for a beginer, but it's comming along.

I'd like to run a dungeons & dragons campaign around it, but I don't want to start the players out with a frigate right off the bat. A sloop would be the ideal size to start with.

I hope a variety of ships, both larger and smaller, will follow.

First off welcome to the boards.

I would not worry too much about it being your first project. My Maiden was pretty much the second major WWG product that I put together. Just take your time, be patient, and test each piece before you apply glue and you should be just fine.


Oh...and take pictures. We like to look at pictures around here...candid photos if you know what I mean. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
