I would like to see a Dwarven Ironclad, A Grey wood elven ship and something Orcish. A few years back in the White Dwarf magazine they had some examples of boats built in these flavors. Maybe you could look them up and use them for ideas. I would buy them and yes as soon as you make all the sets Robo-Cutter compatible I am buying one!!!

I'll second the idea, but I also want to see the ghost maiden finished as well. Question, what is the price mark on a craftrobo cutter, I looked at the website but could not find a price mark on either model (think I may make that my birthday present to myself when I get home).

I would love to see an ironclad from WWG - possibly more than one (or at least some kitbashes for making both human and dwarfen variants).

As to kinds... I am fond of the design of the Monitor, while she was Hell to work in she was of a superior design to the Virginia. If the commanding officer had used the full weight of powder it is likely that she would have pierced the Virginia's armor, or at least done enough damage to force her to retire from battle. Unfortunately, the actual captain of the Monitor was injured before the ship saw battle.

The Monitor was a lot bigger than people seem to think - about 175 feet long, and about 40 feet wide. Let me Google images of her....

There ended up being numerous ships of the Monitor's general design, only one survives and that is in Sweden. A ship of similar, but not identical design survives in Talcahuano, Chili. Not surprisingly such ships were called 'Monitors'.

The Virginia by comparison was a stop gap design, something that could be built on an existing hull (the U.S.S. Merrimac) and launched swiftly.

Game balance wise Ironclads are game breaking - timberclads just cannot stand up to them in battle. (Timberclad was a term coined by the British during their push towards Dreadnaughts in the late 19th and early 20th centuries - it was a term largely of derision.)

I would be interested in more "ancient" style ships and boats, greek or egyptian galleys (well, especially the egytpian one!) would be on my interest list.

Bumping this topic - my ask would be in general more Medieval/Ancient Ships, galleys/cogs/longships.

I have searched far and wide for ships of fantasy, but find little. there was a Spanish GW site with some ships, and the site of a modelmaker who made what he dubbed an Elven ship, looked like what you might think of when you think Elves too.
Whatever it is, it should NOT be the size of the Maiden, as this will restrict movement, and I presume most fantasy naval/pirate rules include the moving of the ships?
Perhaps look at the Lepanto naval battles for inspiration. Most fantasies have a tech level in the medieval age, but even before the Rennaisance there is already gunpowder in use, even before warships as a rule ceased oar propulsion.
