Well got it all nice and built, even took a couple of pictures, then discovered the USB cable did not make in to the list of things salvaged after Tornado. ( 5 months on and still discovering things that did not get saved.) The drawers are really great for WWG Battle Pack markers. I ca nnow store movement, vehicle damage/condition and infantry wound/conditions separately and neatly. |

So I was taking another thought about this today. Seems two things of note are the desire for a single long drawer in the center, and it's been mentioned that it doesn't have the smoothest draw when pulling out. The idea that occured to me was. Make four additional copies of the back side of the box, and glue them back to back. Then glue them in on the inside of the bottom area, so that they form a smooth backing behind the two side drawers, and on eitherside of the center drawer. No interior edges to get caught on. The second idea I had regarding the center drawer is, why not make a second copy of the floor pieces for the bottom area. Then trim the center area so that it is just a hair thinner than the center area. Here, again, extra copies of the back of the box, would make nice sidewalls for the drawer. Alternately, use another copy of the floor, and trim the center area part in two pieces to form the walls. *shrugs* Just seems the easiest solution. |

Actually do something like this. I just ran 2 guide strips, one on each side, and it worked out well. The only place that hangs is the top edge of box divider. For the long box I think I am going to set the lip on the bottom of the box with the tab pointed to the front of the box. That way it has a smooth insert and a smooth pull out. |
