I started thinking about doing this while making some extra tiles for The Garden. I like where it's heading. It makes a nice prop for the set: More pics and details are on |

That is a really good idea. I would love to see more set elements as 3D options. |

Obviously the 'secret wall behind the waterfall' is in order for this one. |

The photos aren't coming out great at midnight in my kitchen, but here are some completed shots! The only thing coming through clearly in the photos is the fingerprint smudged on the lens of my iPhone... The whole thing is textured now, and it all fits on a single page within the boundaries for cutfiles. I didn't cut any of these pieces by hand! Yay! I wanted to texture the area UNDER the arched space, so I grabbed a chunk of a wall and stretched it to fit. I am pretty content with how it looks when in place. I'll need to spend some time writing up build instructions. It's pretty easy to assemble, even with the curved bit (I've done it twice, and twice it's worked out great). The underside piece is 2mm too long, and the top water texture is about 1mm too short. Such tiny sizes, but it makes a difference, unfortunately. So I need to fix that up along with the cutfiles, and build one more. Maybe I'll do that when I have double-sided textures, or if I make a second, lower waterfall piece... |

Very very nice, Proteau -- I'll have to step up my game a little more, won't I? Secret door, though, right under where the water is diverted. |

That is really nice. Really really nice. Definitely a bash I'd build to add to my garden stash. |

Wow - I didn't expect such enthusiasm! I didn't have a lot of time today, but I was able to finish the wall pieces. I took the wall that you see in the pictures and basically removed the water track from one side. I made two versions of the wall, where the water track was moved from one side or the other, and left alone on the reverse. This allows the wall to be used in either direction. I realize that I took a big shortcut - I designed the pieces right in the cutfiles, so the parts that are untextured... well... I don't have any actual outlines showing where non robo-cutter folks would cut and score... So, that's my next step before I can package this up and submit it. |

I think I just finished up acceptable instructions for this, which means it isn't far from being submission-ready. Since I've now built three of these things, I am not inclined to build more, but I realize I left off a marker for where a reverse-score is necessary. I've been using my Silhouette to cut things out, so it hasn't been an issue for me! So, I'll figure out which line needs some red triangles on it. With my remaining time at work today (while my pokey compiler is busy compiling!) I'll see how easy it will be for me to chop this model down so I can make a 1/2 height version as well, allowing for one to flow into the other. |

Hmmm... I put together the cutfile for the smaller waterfall piece, and it really hacked up the smaller tabs (though the tabs themselves are no smaller than on the larger version...) It's taking me a couple iterations to get the cutfiles right. I am experimenting with putting small cut lines in rather than "score" lines. Almost done with the test build... |

Submitted! I can finally cross this off my list (until I need to revisit it to clean up boo-boos the reviewers pick up on!) |
