A request to kitbash reviewers - it might be too much to ask - I don't know what really goes on behind the scenes. Please take all of this through the lense of my appreciation for your work in reviewing the kitbashes in the first place. I just work better in a collaborative environment, and kitbashing is very much NOT like that...
It'd be great to be a little more "in the loop" with the review process. It currently feels like a black box. For example, after sending in the email about a kitbash, I really have no idea if/when someone has downloaded the kitbash. I have no idea if/when something has been given a seal of approval yet or not. I mean, I assume right now that no news is good news.
It feels a little lopsided, I guess. I'm a huge part of me making the kitbash (obviously) but when I'm "done" it kind of disappears for at least a month, sometimes without any feedback at all. Still waiting to hear if anything/everything submitted will be in October, or if some things will be pushed off for November...
For example, I *did* get some feedback that there were some issues with the waterfall prop. I fixed and resubmitted, but I haven't heard that anyone has checked it out and it's all good. It'd be cool to get some constructive feedback on the submitted things - are there aspects of the textures that could be improved on? More pieces that you'd like to see that extend the kitbash? Did you find the instructions for the 3d prop adequate? Having never made instructions before, was the formatting good, and could they be improved?
Can you folks use more help reviewing other kitbashes? I'm not looking for freebies or praise or anything when I do kitbashes - it's just how I have fun, making and sharing stuff, so the more feedback (good or bad) the better. Anything I can do to improve aspects of the process (other than stuffing the channel with kitbashes), let me know and I'll try! If not, then I'll keep doing what I do, and at least I'll be happy that I asked and got a response.
