| Post subject: | Maiden of the High Seas - 3D Booms Info |
Hi there, First time crafter, decided to jump in with both feet. Not only am I starting with the Maiden, but I'm using the 3D booms kitbash as well. She's coming together absolutely wonderfully, but I'm hoping someone with some experience can keep me from making a mistake. There's 3 pages of booms in the pdf. One's the upper booms, one is the lower, and the third is miscellaneous. I was able to figure out that one of the miscellaneous booms goes on the bowsprit. Looks beautiful there. However the other piece on that page, which I believe the instructions call the "double boom" confounds me. I was able to figure out how it goes together, and have it nicely assembled. I just have no idea what to do with it! It's not the same length as either the upper or lower booms, so I'm not thinking it is supposed to attach to one of those. But that's all I can really garner from the way it is described and the photos. Anyone have any insight? |

It's been a long time since I worked on this, but I believe it goes in the middle of the double sails on page 5 and 6 of the original sails PDF in the Maiden. Here's the image that shows a good picture of this: Let me know if that's not what you are talking about, and don't forget to drop some Pictures in here.... I love anything to do with the Maiden. |
