Hmmm, the current issue of over on the Games Workshop site has the guidelines for playing Space Hulk using the Kill Team rules in the newest edition of Warhammer 40,000. I do not have the Kill Team rules, as I bought the cheaper boxed set that has just the 40K rules (and some minis) rather than the overpriced hardcover with an amazingly craptastic binding. The binding really is incredibly bad, how they can bring themselves to charge US $50 for it is beyond me. The boxed set on the other hand ($45 with minis and some pretty good plastic terrain) is not too terrible for GW pricing, and at 25% off I decided to get it... GW has a long history of bad bindings on their hardcovers, but this one was bad even for them (though sadly not their worst... The first printing of the original Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay was known to fall apart as it was being shipped - the paperback version had a better binding). The Auld Grump |

I saw that stuff in the Black Gobbo. Nice of them to release some tiles. The 3d pieces they made are interesting. Though...yikes. Using Vinyl Drain pipes....talk about sharp! And I see that SH will never get published again(atleast that's the intimations I got from the Gobbo article). I like First Edition Rules. But the Psychic Rules made it a mess... And I like second edition tiles and art.(Though some of the 1st edition tiles are cool. With some crates tiles to block corridors and such. I just don't like the puzzle lock for cardboard. It invites fraying and general wear much too quickly) -Floyd ps. I like these 3d renditions of Space Hulk |

Heh, one thing that I tend to do after seeing terrain in a Games Workshop article is to work out how much it would cost... all too often the answer is 'Yikes!' (One that they had a how to article for recently used $50 worth of archive Tyranid bits...) The Auld Grump |

only thing missing in the Black Gobbo todate is the article "how to convert your car's engine into a Tyranid Hive"... |

I've actually been thinking quite a lot on the use of the gutters for buildings. I know how they have them on the side so one wall is missing, but I bet you could use them positioned normally, just cut down the sides somewhat and use the bottom as the floor and dress up the sides. Like most top down corridors. I'll have to do some experimentation one of these days. Once I get some more dungeon corridors done, I should be able to spend sometime playing with vinyl gutters. ![]() Skunk Check out my fantasy campaign, Wizard Quest, a world using Wizards of the Coast’s 3.5 DnD system by visiting . Vinyl is sharp man! Be carefull. While I liked the look of their cutaway dioramas using that material. I think I'd rather have some other substrate. -floyd |
