Scissors, we don't need no stinkin scissors! To be honest, I've seen quite a few online models, mostly freebie ones where they tell you to use scissors. Plus, a friend of mine builds flying paper rocket models and he uses scissors all the time. Personally, I prefer the knife myself, but to each his own. I do like the logo though! Usually I use a knife, but there are certain situations that I use scissors (smaller, very sharp craft scissors, not the big unwieldy kind). You know, the right tool for the right job. Sometimes scissors are the right tool. ![]() |

I can understand the need to use scissors for arthritis. I don't have it yet, but my grandmother had it pretty bad. Almost as bad as James Coburn, and she still managed to knit. Course, that was in the 70s and early 80s, so yeah, medicine has come a long way. I'm sure I'll get there someday too, which is something I don't look forward to. Hopefully, those meds will work for me when I need them, or they'll have something even better by then. But it's great that you and the woman you know has found a way to continue with your hobbies! If you really must get arthritis, this is the best time in history to do it. I honestly expect to see a cure in my lifetime. The treatment options now are *fantastic* and a diagnosis of arthritis doesn't have to mean you're doomed to end up crippled. If you get the right treatment started early, with luck you might not end up with joint damage for YEARS. But that means getting an accurate diagnosis ASAP (there are over 170 different kinds of arthritis and there's a different treatment for just about every one of them) then treating it aggressively from the get-go. Speaking of Coburn, he chose to follow some alternative treatment regimen rather than getting himself to a rheumatologist for standard, proven treatment. It's his joints. Not a choice I'd make. ![]() |

Cuz we're a really diverse well read group. Or should that be well red? See, that gets the ink in there and if it's a tattoo, someone would have had to use a sharp instrument to get it there and knives are sharp so... K, I think I've pushed that far enough! I still like the logo, especially the scissors on it, no matter what anyone says! ![]() Skunk Check out my fantasy campaign, Wizard Quest, a world using Wizards of the Coast’s 3.5 DnD system by visiting .
