So here's an oddball kitbash... "Oddball", because I don't even *own* Mars Station, so how could I possible make a kitbash for it?
I got to thinking that it would be nice to have a real 3D crater, not just the flat 2D craters on the Mars terrain tiles. Turns out that something like a crater rim is actually one of the few types of curved folds you can make without a gazillion annoying tabs to glue - just score and bend into shape!
So here you go, here's a blank template for a crater rim, conveniently scaled to take up the maximum 7.5"x9.5" allowable space for a kitbash (at 200 dpi). That gives you a crater which is just under 7" in diameter (perfect to fit on a standard 7" tile), with a crater rim just under 1" high and about 1.5" wide, leaving more or less 3x3" in the center for your miniatures to take cover:
Feel free to texture this with Mars Station cliff wall textures, or just dirt and rubble for use in a WWII or Modern scenario. (Maybe even a CaveWorks texture?) If somebody wants to submit a textured version as a real official kitbash, I would appreciate an acknowledgement...
I provided two tabs to close the ring of the crater rim. If you want to glue the thing down onto a tile, you can obviously add some small tabs along the inside and outside edge.
