I mentioned it in your other thread - I love this! The tiny, ultra-fiddly stuff can be so much fun to do. Have you seen my (in progress), or Conaill's ? Fun stuff! |

You are mad! Completely mad. I cannot believe you made all the little interior stuff. My hats(yeah plural) off to you mate. Ok I thought the stuff I made for Formula De 1/144 scale wasx tiny... you got me beat there... ~Floyd ps. I can't wait to see the entire city... I hope you don't go crosseye'd or (completely)insane before it's completed. pss. Denny I think he's earned a WWG monogramed straight jacket! |

Do they have a name for whats wrong with you? That is so neat! So how long did it take, and how many of the interiors did you destroy? Good job. |

Thanks guys. It was alot of fun to build. For some bizarre reason, I can actually do a better job with the smaller item than I can with the larger. I am actually more comfortable working in smaller scales for some reason. Floyd, I didnt destroy any pieces but there are two file cabinets and a gun rack on the floor of my shop that I dropped and cannot find. and Have no fear, the city will be done! Just wait till I have it completed and have the zombie horde out there. that will really make it impressive. |

Aubrey, hmmm... smaller..... I'll have to think about that. Now if you pull out a hammock I will be impressed. the problem is I am technology challanged when it comes to these things. I know there are ways to modify the parts by pulling apart the PDFs and such, but I do not have any sort of package that I can do that with. so right now I am at the mercy of the kits and a blade. most high end graphics packages I have right now is acrobat reader 4, and photo-paint 6. Not much in comparison to you guys, but for now it is working. I get by with scannigng certain pieces and printing them, mainly for jsut interior walls for now. and the way I look at it this is fun. So I am really not concerned over it. |

Insanity, but I love it! I'd definately have to use the lighted magnifying glass on my work bench for that. Maybe if I were 10 years younger, that would be a different story, but with my over 40 eyes, just ain't gonna happen. Really great looking though! At least the little pixies won't have to live in the basement anymore ![]() How did you cut that out without tearing the pieces? Even with a sharp blade I tear stuff from time to time. Oh, and I think you need a life, or maybe I hate you because you have to time to cool things like this while I suffer from wifenkids disease ![]() That is awesome. Don't know why, but it is. CCotD' |

CotD, I print everythig out on index card so they are prety tough and do not tear easy. I find that it makes it easier to use. but some pieces do wind up being a bit thick, but they are durable especially with two kids in the house. works so far... I could use a life, I also suffer from the wife/kids dilema. My one perk is my daughter who is 5 loves this sort of thing. She wants to do a paper castle with me, so I might be on the lookout for something new. I try to involve her in most of my projects as I find that it actually helps me get things done. She has painted her own armies (not very well mind you) and has already done her own 4x6 terrain board with rock walls and trees. She wants to be an "artist" like me when she grows up. I'll never call my self an artist though... I'm not that good. I guess I am lucky as I work out of the home running a mail order business selling and painting a figure line from the UK. Skunk ape, will you hate me more if I told you I folded everything by hand as well? I dont know where I put my ship rigging kit so I could not find my tweezers or anything whe I built it. It was all done with a #11 and a pencil point. Even though I am 35 at the end of this month I was blessed with good eyes, probably to counter the fact that I am partially deaf ![]() |
