If you're careful, you can do the same without wedging the two together, just cut a circle and glue the wall to the outside. Course, you gotta be careful with wall warpage, but as long as you don't use a high water content glue that shouldn't happen. I need to do a round tower made out of CWU walls instead of what I've used.
