Post subject: | Matching Chunky walls to DungeonLinx floors? |
I'm trying to make Chunky Dungeons walls match DungeonLinx floors. I know I'm not the only one interested in this. I have two thoughts on how to do it, and would love any suggestions anyone has. 1) Photoshop color adjustments: I'm not very good with Photoshop, but it seems to me that a decent match could be obtained with just a little less blue and magenta, and a little more grey scale, black, and green. Sounds simple enough, but I can't seem to find an adjustment option that doesn't come out either muddy or psychedelic. 2) Reskinning Mini-Chunk There are bits of wall texture that already match DungeonLinx floors: on the DungeonLinx lava outlets, and in the Hilltop Encounter ruins. However, they're rather small, and often obscured by overlaid details. Is there any set I've missed that has a bigger chunk of that texture? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone has. |

Have you considered using InteriorWorks: Castles & Keeps walls? Or perhaps even DungeonWorks Classic? |

Actually, the Dungeonworks Classic wall colors might work. However, the textures are a bit more primitive, and I'd prefer to go with the more realistic- appearing textures mentioned above. I'm really hoping to find the right color adjustments to make the mini-chunk work. Right now I'm off to buy more ink so I can try some new combinations of adjustments. Still not having much luck, though. It's annoying: it can look great on the monitor, but the shades can be quite different on paper. |

I brought this up in another related thread but the walls from the 'Encounters' set are a perfect match for DungeonLinx. They were developed with the same look and feel as the current DlinX set so they fit perfectly. There are extra long walls in that encounter set that would bash easily into DlinX: http://worldworksgames.com/store/index. ... ucts_id=31 |
