| Post subject: | Gothic Realms Walls with Pictures |
Been twiddling around with the Gothic Realms wall a bit. I thought it would be cool if they had various pictures on them that look magically illustrated. Here is one of them. I did a Google Image Search for Tribal Dragon, then grabbed this picture. The walls had the entire back part removed (Due to my inability to properly replicate it) and replaced with a new pattern. So only the top bar is original, everything else has been changed entirely. This is actually really easy. In GIMP all you have to do is remove all the white around the picture, then colorize it. Then make a drop shadow of a lighter color. Make sure the opacity is aroun 90 or so, otherwise it'll be too transparent. I've also been experimenting with doing it on the floor tiles. Later, Lotus |

The back wall texture is going to be used for a different project later as well. Since the texuture is a free one I got online, it is only fitting that I give away the work I did with it. Anyways, here is a sample of the Pheonix Floor tile, scaled down and with annoying text. A big problem with these are is teh images of the Pheonix and the Dragon are copyrighted by some Tattoo aritst (I think) so I really can't allow WWG to sell them on the website. I may make an all new floor tile and put the stuff on it, so I can give it away elsewhere, but I don't want to charge for it (I doubt they'd care, but hey) Lotus |
