| Post subject: | Missing Persons Game Box |
Hi all, I'm somewhat new to the board and decided to start my first thread. I just finished putting together a Box model to store the finished Missing Persons character flats in. It's a 4" x 6.5"x1" deep box with lid, the sidesfold over each other and have a pair of tabs that lock over each other to make a solid corner on the box. Since I used the cover art from Missing Persons for the top of the box and one of the promotional images from the website on the bottom of the box I'm going to label them kitbashes for now, I'll take phots of the box once it's complete but here are the forms for the top and bottom of the box, they should be just the right size to nest comfortably over each other. folding may be a little tricky so if anyone has questions about it ask away. |

As promised here's some shots of the box as well as the completed Iron Golem standing next to it. For reference, the box is 4" wide, 6.5" long, and 1" deep (a standard sheet of letter sized paper with .25" margins and 2" taken off each side for the folded over 1" deep walls) |

Very cool game box, and a great idea to keep everything together. Thanks for sharing the templates to save us the work of recreating what you already did. Did you print the black outline onto blue card, then stick the images on the top and bottom? Might be an idea to add a couple of images/logos to the side of the box so you can still identify it when it does get placed on a shelf. Do you plan to make a box for as well? Arabin |

I actually created a solid blue background in photoshop, superimposed the template over it and then scaled the missing persons images to fit inside the box top and bottom, then I printed the blue+image on one side of a page and the template on the other (fortunately the laser printer I use is pretty good about alignment.) I may do a box for Something Below later but I'll have to pick the adventure up first, I'd picked up MP mostly for the Iron Golem but like the adventure enough I'll probably pick up DB eventually and run it as well. I'm doing a bit of redesign on the box to make it a) a little larger, and b) single sided so there's no funky alignment to deal with, after that I'll either submit it as a kitbash or post it here, not sure which would be appropriate. |

The final box is just a little different from this teaser shot. The artwork on the final is a bit different, the cutting lines are clearer and a tiny issue with the notch on the lid flap has been fixed, the box also fits into the standard kitbash template now as well, overall it looks just like this though. |
