actually valid points. When I submit a bash I attempt to not include things that wouldn't be in the bash. Notice the RV Aleph did a good job of picking up the 'Wheels available in Mayhem Armoury'. I suppose to help them out on our submissions we should list an 'included' and 'not included' item list refering directly to the bash picture we submit. IE: Included: Modified Van red and black Not Included: Wheels. Seems like such a little thing, but I can see even with the text on the image and the (mayhem armoury required for beefier wheels) tag, that someone might *still* think at least some kind of wheels are included. Of course, this *could* go to the Nth degree driving Aleph insane... oh wait |

Excellent feedback. I was a bit put-out by the overpass set myself. I knew the streets were not included, and I figured the concrete barricades on the top were the same ones as from SOM (and thus not included). What I DID think I was getting was (a) a template to use for taking regular street tiles and turning them into a three-lane tile (and yes, I got that) and (b) the U-shaped concrete supports on the near left of the photo (and yes, got those) and (c) detailed instructions (and yes, Bob excels at that) ... and (d) the solid concrete block riser in the far right of the photo (and no, you don't get that). It wasn't a big deal, it was an inexpensive kitbash. But I think I would have preferred a photos howing a three-lane road mounted ONLY on those U-Shaped supports, since that was all you got. And yes, I understand the dilema Aleph. You don't build all these things, you rely on the basher to do so and send piccys. That's why the few 3D kits I've sent in are photographed on my green cutting mat, nothing else is shown. Steve |

Thanks for the comments Aleph. Between your explanation and Steve's, I feel that I now understand what comes in the Overpass set. Even after reading your post, I still thought that the concrete riser was included, or at least a template for me to take the texture from the originating mayhem set. I agree with Steve that the photo would be much better showing only what is included. Sure, it looks cool in the current image, but it is confusing. I do realize that you only have so much to work with and that a lot of time kitbashes are pushed back on people to supply better details/images. It's really the responsibility of the submitter to check that the kitbash is clearly displayed, explained and has instructions. It's hard for someone to check that their own instructions make sense though, so that's probably something that gets bounced around a lot. I know if I ever got around to submitting a kitbash I would want someone to look over the instructions and tell me if they seemed easy enough to follow. Lastly, I'm glad the feedback was taking the way it was intended. I really like WWG and don't want to upset anyone around here ![]() Arabin |
