Yeah I'm at it again. Arabin mentioned in this thread that there where a few flaws in my Village Works to CWU conversion and he was right. So I re-built one to make it look a tad better. I used 280 gsm paper on this. This is a much more solid build. You can see my first floor conversion of Harbour Master next to it. Floors where reduced to 85.5% so they are 6 in squared with a light 1.5" grid layed over the top. The height of the walls are the same with the width also shrunk to 85.5%, not too much distortion. Now the difference between the two are obvious, the CWU style is much taller being 3" in height and the HM only being 2" in height. I may yet build a HM building that is scaled up instead of down as it is a free floating building rather than wedged into the masterboard. Both have thier uses. The second story is drying as I type, I will add more pictures to this thread as I complete them. |

Oops, I didn't mean it as criticism, was just wondering how the second floor fit together. The new build does look a lot nicer though and I like what you are doing with the Harbormaster... though the difference in height will become more pronounced with each new level. Can't wait to see more. Arabin |

It is true that the height will be slightly off. The height is actually 2.25" per level, 2" on the inside. I don't think it will look that badly. I may make my levels at different heights to give my village a more realistic look to it. So far so good, not too far off. I'm only doing a simple design on this one. I may do a more complex HM with a different build structure. Maybe a Mill or something. |

Looking good... I like the "simple" design you are going for. From the angle on the new pictures, the height looks really good... I think the first picture where you mentioned it was 2" threw me a bit. You build pretty fast ![]() For the support of each floor, which set has the method you are using? I have all the modern stuff, half of the sci-fi (FL, MS, PCON), and a little of the fantasy (HM, VW, Hilltop Encounter) Arabin |
