Well I started back on Chunky Caverns (1.5") and I'd like some feed back on my ideas, I will edit this post here when I get more ideas or suggestions. Walls Sizes: 1.5", 3", 4.5", 1.5" curved, 3"x3" curved, Wall toppers (3D) in all sizes like from the Floating Walls of Cave Works to put on some of the walls, Diagonal, Cave in wall. Shapes: Straight and random like Mars Station canyons (Great idea Paul) Doors (or just open arch) 1.5 Door, 3" Door, Risers Standard risers like Mars Station Canyons, Gothic Real Sewers style risers, Stairs Straight, Spiral, Ramp, Bridges (for risers) Rivers Blue, Lava, Green, and Ice. 3D Transparancey Water falls and Gyesers Other Stalagmytes 2D and 3D excuse all the spelling errors, I'm still suffering from Jet Lag |

Post subject: | First Test Large Curve 2x2 |
Ok I finished my first test piece. I need to redesign the tabs as some of them where placed in wrong areas causing slight warpage. So far so good. I'm pleased with the result so far. I will be working on the three inch wall next. |

Hmmm given all the 'curves' in the components, might I make a suggestion? Create a Template that could be used as a form to keep the components shape together as you do the glue up. I was having a lot of trouble with keeping my round structures staying round when I was doing the glue up, so I took a piece of scrap foamcore and cut a circle out that was .5mm larger than the structure I was working on. I then inserted the round structure into the form and glued on the top piece. It really helped to keep the object's shape together as the glue dried. Maybe the same technique would work here to keep all us perfectionists happy? -Pel |

Post subject: | You can help!! |
Need help on design from you all. What do you think of this and what could be changed? What would you like to see more of for a 3D cave? I have my standard X, L, 2 differnt T corners, a 1x1, 1x2 and 1x3 length wall and a large curve wall. That door way is no way finished I'm going to redo it just a bit as that was just a quick example. Anything I need to do to tweak it? Hey where is Crystal Caves for me to add to it ![]() |

They look very complicated to make, but I am sure they will make a great underground base for HeroClix when they are done... |
